University of Southern Maine (USM)
Through a partnership, students attending USM can access Greater Portland Metro, and other participating transit systems, using their student ID.
The Husky Line route travels between Portland, Westbrook, and Gorham and directly connects the two USM campuses in Gorham and Portland.

Southern Maine Community College (SMCC)
Through a partnership, students attending SMCC can access Greater Portland Metro, and other participating transit system, using their student ID.
High School Programs
Portland Public Schools
Through a partnership with METRO, students attending Portland Public High Schools can access Greater Portland Metro, and other participating regional transit systems, for transportation.

Baxter Academy
Through a partnership between METRO and Baxter Academy, students requiring transportation may request information about a DiriGo Pass Smartcard or DiriGo Pass Mobile App directly from Baxter Academy. Baxter Academy passes expire at the end of each school year. Students are asked to check with the school for additional information and guidelines.
Youth Fare
Regular youth fare, for ages 18 and younger, is $1 for regular local service. METRO BREEZ express service between Portland, Yarmouth, Freeport, and Brunswick is $2 each way.
Please note that two children, five and under, ride free with each passenger paying fare. To obtain a Youth DiriGo Pass Smarcard or DiriGo Pass mobile app, please complete a Reduced Fare Application for each student and submit it to Metro by mail, email, or in person, with proof of the child's DOB. The method of payment will expire on the first of the month following the applicant's 19th birthday.
