Take Metro to the Festival at Payson Park

Greater Portland Metro is providing additional transportation to the Back Cove Music at Arts Festival on Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3 at Payson Park.

No extra parking near the festival will make taking Metro an easy choice for attendees.
Metro will operate extra bus service both days of the festival.

  • Metro Routes 9A and 9B travel between Downtown Portland and North Deering.
    During the Festival, Route 9B service will extend service through 11 pm and operate every 15 minutes.
  • An additional “Festival” bus will be operating both nights from 8pm – 11pm.
    This bus will provide FREE service direct from the Festival at Payson Park and Portland’s West End via Washington Ave and Congress Street, stopping at all bus stops along the way. This service will run approximately every ten minutes 8pm – 11pm.
  • Metro bus service on Route 9A & 9B is FREE after 3pm both days
    (Prior to 3pm, bus fare is $2 full fare/$1 reduced – cash and DiriGo Pass accepted)
