Metro and Bath Iron Works will be ending our pilot to extend select BREEZ trips to Bath Iron Works (BIW) after the end of service on Friday, October 2nd.

The northbound trips beginning at 5:06am and 1:55pm from Thompson’s Point and ending at BIW, as well as the southbound trip departing BIW at 3:40pm, will no longer operate after October 2. Addit

Portland VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) secures Greater Portland Metro public transportation stop

VA Maine Healthcare System announced today that they have been working in partnership with the Greater Portland Metro to expand public transportation access to eligible Veterans, VA staff, and visitors through the implementation of a Metro stop at the VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic located at 141 West Commercial Street in Portland, Maine. The stop at the clinic was made possible by Metro leadership and their expansion of existing routes running between Scarborough, South Portland, and Portland, Maine. SCARBOROUGH, ME — Greater Portland Metro cut the ribbon launching the new Route #25 on Friday, October 2 in Scarborough ahead of the first service on Sunday, October 4th. Route #25 connects Portland, South Portland and Scarborough via Veterans Bridge and Main Street. Greater Portland Metro is getting ready to launch an on-demand microtransit service in Scarborough later this month. The goal is to connect residents to fixed-route transit, as well as to destinations outside the transit agency’s current fixed route network, according to a news release.
