Committees

Metro’s Board of Directors is made up of appointees from each of Metro’s member communities: Brunswick, Falmouth, Freeport, Gorham, Portland, South Portland, Westbrook, and Yarmouth. The Board of Directors approves Metro’s annual budget, hires and oversees Metro’s Executive Director, and act as liaisons between Metro and their communities. Board representation is proportional to a community’s population and Metro service profile within that community. Metro’s Board and committees typically meet each month.
