Building Maintenance maintains GP Metro’s facilities, grounds, and machinery.

Representative Duties:

Maintains CNG compressor including responding to shutdowns during off hours
Preventative maintenance and repairs of shop all equipment
Air system maintenance (compressors, filters, piping & valves)
Garage door maintenance (motors, seals, springs)Bus shelter installation
Primary maintenance employee responsible for snowplowing, shoveling and snow blowing. Required to work during and immediately following snow storms
Landscaping (mowing, weeding, mulching, etc.)
Assess and repair of electrical and plumbing systems
Carpentry and painting as needed
Coordinate outside contractors for more advanced repairs
Clean shop, service lane, pit and serve as back up for utility position (facility cleaning)
Maintain records of asset maintenance and repairs
Other duties as assigned

Required ability to work independently, self-motivated and a self-starter, as well as work well in a team environment
Ability to respond to urgent facility issues (may be required to respond in case of serious facility issue)
Ability to maintain detailed, organized records

Can utilize common sense, company policies and think quickly to adapt and solve problems
Can apply knowledge to proactively improve facilities and reduce operating costs

Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day
Occasional standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, pulling and pushing
Frequent lifting and carrying objects
Requires capacity to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted
Requires the ability to extend hands and arms in any direction.
Use of legs and body torso to climb ladders and to lift from over head
Capacity to start, stop, control and adjust the actions of machines to achieve desired results.
