Event Transportation

Going to an event in Greater Portland? Metro has you covered!
Most services end between 10pm and 11pm on weekdays and Saturdays, and earlier on Sundays. Be sure to plan both ends of your trip, especially for evening events.
Hadlock Field/Portland Sea Dogs
Metro serves Hadlock Field directly, with Route 5 bus stops on Park Avenue. Routes 1, 7, 9, and BREEZ all run on Congress Street, a short (3 minute) walk from Hadlock.
- Stop 414 is located between the Hadlock Field main gate and the Portland Expo. Route 5 buses serving this stop run to Maine Mall via Congress Street, including Westgate Plaza.
- Stop 404 is located opposite the main gate, at Gilman Street. Route 5 buses serving this stop run to downtown Portland via Forest Avenue.
- Maine Medical Center is located within a 5 minute walk from Hadlock, with bus stops 172 (westbound) and 140 (eastbound) serving Routes 1, 7, 9, and BREEZ. Plan your trip using the trip planner on our homepage to see what route works best for you.
Fitzpatrick Stadium/Hearts of Pine
Up the Hearts! Fitzpatrick Stadium is located close to several bus routes, and with matches ending about 2 hours after kickoff time, planning your trip in both directions is simple. Fitzpatrick Stadium is a short walk from Park Avenue, served by Route 5, and is also accessible from USM (Routes 4 and Husky Line) and Congress Street (Routes 1, 7, 9, and BREEZ).
- Stop 410 is located on Park Avenue at the Iris Network — no need to cross the street to access Fitzpatrick Stadium. It has a shelter, and Route 5 buses serving this stop run to Maine Mall via Congress Street, including Westgate Plaza.
- Stop 407 is located on the opposite side of Park Avenue, at Deering Ave. Route 5 buses serving this stop run to downtown Portland via Forest Avenue.
- Bus stops on Bedford Street serve the Husky Line, which runs between Gorham and Portland. This is also where Hearts of Pine parking is located, so you’ll likely have company headed to/from your bus stop. Route 4 buses also stop just south of the roundabout on Deering Avenue; Husky Line buses will stop there beginning Fall 2025.
- Routes 1, 7, 9, and BREEZ run on Congress Street, about a 7 minute walk from the Fitzpatrick Stadium main gate via Deering Avenue. BREEZ passengers will board/deboard at Maine Medical Center.
Portland Expo
Portland Expo is home to numerous events, including the Maine Celtics. Access is similar to Hadlock Field for Sea Dogs games — see above.
Cross Insurance Arena
Cross Insurance Arena is home to numerous events, including Maine Mariners hockey games. Cross Arena is located a short walk — 2 or 3 minutes, from bus stops at Monument Square and Portland Public Library, two of the busiest bus stops in Maine. Using these bus stops, you can access Cross Arena from all of Greater Portland, plus Biddeford, Saco, Brunswick, Lewiston, and Auburn.
