Maine Marathon- Detours/Delays

Effective Sunday, October 4, 2026. for Metro Routes 7 + 9A/B: No service on Veranda Street, those waiting for service on Veranda Street should board the bus (9A/B) via Washington Ave. Additional, riders should expect delays on Washington Ave, due to the road race (Maine Marathon).

Metro and Bath Iron Works will be ending our pilot to extend select BREEZ trips to Bath Iron Works (BIW) after the end of service on Friday, October 2nd.

The northbound trips beginning at 5:06am and 1:55pm from Thompson’s Point and ending at BIW, as well as the southbound trip departing BIW at 3:40pm, will no longer operate after October 2. Additionally, the southbound trip departing BIW at 6:20am will no longer depart from BIW, and will instead begin at Brunswick Train Station at 6:45am. All other trips are remaining unchanged.

New Scarborough service to start October 4, 2026

Route #25 will serve destinations along Route 1 in Scarborough from Portland via the Veteran’s Bridge  via Main Street in South Portland. Destinations include the VA Clinic on Commercial St., the MaineHealth medical campus and the Exit 42 Park-n-Ride for commuters’ easy access.
